because i love how charcoal clay looks unglazed, i’ve had difficulty finding a translucent glaze that can show a bit of clay. luckily, a quick dip of an in-house glaze at merritt ceramics has worked out.  i used a diamondcore p1 carving tool to slice into the clay when its leather hard.
